The power of an aware Mindset – The Magic Wand

The power of our mindset is so strong and we control it by how we think about “things” & “situations” in our life.
I was looking for a magic wand to wipe it all out and make my life the way I envisioned it in my head.
I would let life happen to me, not looking at my thoughts and words I used to describe my life, thinking that I had no control.   I lived where my body was used to being stressed out – I didn’t like it!  I felt sick, drained, weepy, angry.  I wanted a change and the information I knew to make ME feel better was all in MY HEAD!  Once I realized that, the guidance I needed came streaming to me, through quotes, authors and books.  The more I learned and put into practice, the more I felt better and I started to notice my body relaxing and I liked that feeling far more than the stressed one.
Mindset is the key to wellness and my personal belief.
I’m too much of a control person to just let life happen to me, although that’s what I use to do.  Until I learned how to (manage my thoughts) or better stated; notice the thoughts I have about “situations” and “things” that seem to keep me in a holding pattern.  Once I started noticing what thoughts I had daily that were the same repetitive not worthy, old and tiresome, my life became less stressed.  Things I wanted started to fall into place and my reactions to situations changed for the better.  I was better able to see life than be reactive.
The dominate theme in my process was “Change your thoughts, Change your Life” and “Nothing Matters more than How I Feel”.  Meaning, what thoughts do I consistently have that keeps my life spinning and paying attention to my emotions and where I feel them in my body.  These two quotes changed my life and I live by them today.
This learning process has become a favorite pastime for me, because I can do it anywhere.  I enjoy understanding where my thoughts are that limit me and which thoughts are positive that I have no resistance too.  The more I recognize and let go of these old thought patterns, the lighter I felt, the more my goals and visions are manifested.
Here’s some questions to ask yourself and if you answer yes and don’t like that answer, you are on your way to change!!!!
  1. Do you have the same repetitive heavy thoughts daily?
  2. Do you complain and wish your life was different?
  3. Do you go through the motions daily without much conscious thought?
Lighter, easier ways to recognize your mindset
  1. Make a list of the same repetitive thoughts.
  2. What do you think of these thoughts? Are they things you can change?
  3. Make a list of your positive thoughts and start a gratitude list.
  4. Are the two lists the same in length?
  5. Use your lighter feeling thoughts, as your go-to when you start to repeat the same heavy non-productive thoughts.
  6. This is a practice don’t be hard on yourself, keep going.
  7. Like learning a new talent or skill, if you really want to “it” you will practice.
  8. The more you recognize the limiting mindset the easier it is to bring positive thoughts forward.
  9. The heavy mindset makes you feel crappy the lighter ones make you feel light.  Identifying how the different thoughts make you feel is your inner guidance. USE IT to help with changes
  10. You are an amazing human being who has the power within to make “sh*t happen!!!
You are the Magic Wand to change how your life unfolds.  Take control of your thoughts and go for “it”.

I love to play with my mind; learning about the thoughts I hold that limit me in accomplishing the dreams, vision and goals.  I hack them and throw them out :)

PS. There are days when you just don’t want to and may go all day in a heavy spiral, it’s ok (I did that and it’s normal for change in the beginning it gets easier).  Remember, every moment you have the power to choose better thoughts and every day is a new start.  Compassion for yourself is a valuable tool.  Show yourself the compassion you would show others!

You got this!
